Maleny puts on a spring show

24th-26th October 2003

Everyone who enjoys beautiful views, colourful gardens, special tearooms and talented woodworkers will have it all laid on.

The idea is to drive to the Maleny Showgrounds and park there.  The showgrounds will be a hive of activity including business and nursery displays, market stalls, entertainment and food venues, with buses leaving the showgrounds every twenty minutes to ferry visitors on a wide-ranging scenic tour to the participating gardens. The bus tours of the gardens cost only $12 for a three-day ticket giving entry to all gardens and venues.

The shuttle buses will take visitors along panoramic roads stopping at the spectacular open garden.  These gardens show off the full range of horticultural delights possible in the are from tropical rainforest to cottage gardens.  In the gardens visitors will be entertained by musicians and see local artists at work.

To continue the festival mood, and while the showgrounds jumps with market stalla, fun and music, there will be a Croquet day and a two day Bowls Carnival.

Colin Campbell will be on hand at noon on Friday to answer your gardening questions.

Entry to the showground is FREE
