I agree with what you are saying but surely our sent in a national park is as alien as a dogs. It realy comes down to the indviduals level of responsibility, for example, if dogs are on a leash and people stick to the designated walking areas and campsites the impact on native animals would be immesurable.Australia is a massive country with vast landscapes therefore I fail to see how a campsite that is of no comparison in size could greatly effect Native animals, also if the government provides enough funding to ensure that there is sufficient rangers and so on to manage each site properly this would minimise any impact domestic animals could have on the enviroment.
